Pull the plug -- libraries aren't

I think it's time (past time) to pull the plug on this line of discussion.
If you are going to insult someone, or respond to an insult with another,
then take it offline. Don't make the entire list play spectator to a
quarrel. IF, however, you have something of substance to contribute, then
please do so in a rational and respectful manner. We're all professionals
here, so please let's act like we are.
