          Corbis, Inc. is the picture archive that is incorporating 
          Bettmann images into its database. You must first register 
          with the company online, then they allow you to download a 
          proprietary browser that lets you see thier stock. No 
          charges are involves until you find something you are 
          interested in.

Has anyone on the list heard further news at to what
Bill Gates is planning to do with the Bettmann Archive?
Are we talking web-based access to digitized images,
with per-download charges?
