The Scripps Research Institute (TSRI) has created a new full-time webmaster
position. TSRI is an independent, non-profit research institute. Eight
scientific departments study all areas of modern biomedical research and
synthetic bioorganic chemistry. TSRI is located in La Jolla, a few miles
north of San Diego.

Webmaster
TSRI Communications Department
8:00 a.m.- 5:00 p.m.

Essential Functions: Manages TSRI's overall Internet presence, including
determining parameters for content & audiences served by the WebSite;
design, write and edit new sections for the Home Page; develop an Intranet
strategy; search and review links to other Web sites; provide guidance &
training to laboratories and departments who want to develop a specific
page; analyze server traffic & maintain URL links & files..

Requires:Knowledge of HTML, Illustrator, Photoshop, Director and a Web-based
language; understanding of color palettes, background images & tiling; GIF
and JPG creation, 3D rendering & animation; excellent written & oral
communication skills; some knowledge of UNIX, NT, Internet services and
administration, Network Domain Systems, TCP/IP, and network firewall
implementations preferred. Minimum 3 years experience required.
