Strange problem on my computer

I don't know where else to go for help. Just recently every time I
start Netscape Gold 3.01 on my Winodws 95 machine I get and error
message saying it can't find "java_301" in the CLASSPATH. I also find
athat certain Java applets no longer work. Even the Java enhanced page
at www.sun.com thinks I have Java turned off. I even uninstalled
Netscape, deleted all of the files, and reinstalled it. Still get the
same messages and problems. Javascripts are working correctly. I
recently uninstalled several different HTML editors that I had been
trying. Some of them were Java based. I am wondering if that may have
been the problem. Any suggestions?
