agents and information specialists

Hi,

I study information science in Paris. 
Two questions : 
I am looking for examples of applications/use of intelligent agents
software (autonomy agent, webCompass
) by information specialists or
librarians. Do you use
frequently agents ? Do they change your job ? 
Do you know sites about use and evaluation of these agents by
information specialits or
librarians ? How can we compare them ?
 A lot of good sites exist about agents but they are often
very technical and often are not interested by the application of these
softwares.
