fortres software

We have rarely had a patron actually turn off a computer. They
seldom ever even attempt to shut it down, either. I think that's
because they come to a computer that is on already so they assume
that it is to stay on even when they leave. You could disable the
on/off switch, but that seems rather drastic. As you've probably
seen on this list, there is a method for properly going through the
shutdown procedure even with Fortres 101 running so that staff can
turn off the computer when needed. Other than that, I really doubt
you will have a problem with the public actually turning off the
computers. The rare occasions when you MIGHT have that problem you
can always run scandisk and correct any problems that might have been
created by the action.

Hope this helps.
