The obvious and most major disadvantage of upgrading from 2.0 to 3 or
to communicator is the amount of memory required. We have quite a number
of 8 mb win 3.x computers and when you go to Netscape 3.01 there is not
much memory left over. It makes it difficult/impossible to run other
useful programs simulatiously. Examples of these programs are HotDog HTML
editor and Adobe Acrobat Reader. (Take a look at acrobat 3.0 for windows
and note that it is close to 6 mb.) Even with the cost of memory dropping,
upgrading 50-75 machines at one time because you have decided to install
a new version can break the bank.
