any idea about library softwares

i am going to write one paper on "libary softwares -a useful to
library in modern days". this is a review article. so anyone 
knows about library softwares, pl. list out of them.
moreover i would like to know what are the library softwares
available throught world?. if possible to supply me, i will
greatful to you and kind help. i would like to get good response
from everybody!
