WYSIWYG HTML - turning off extensions

With the attention given in this list recently to the use of standard html
tags, I'd now like to ask anyone who uses a web-page editor, such as
MS FrontPage or Adobe PageMill (etc.):
Do these page editors (or others that you know of) allow you the
option of turning "off" non-standard HTML elements?
Any responses would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
