Dear WEB4LIBers,
I received the following message on another list (AUTOCAT), and with the
author's permission, post it here, where it is far more germain. As she
does not subscribe to WEB4LIB, you may send comments directly to her,
although I'm sure the rest of us hope you will share them with all.

From: Mary Howarth <MMHOWART at vm.occ.cc.mi.us>
One of our campuses has experienced, for the first time, an instance
of the public Internet terminals being used to view pornographic sites.
There were words between the librarian on duty and the viewer, who
finally left the building.
Of course, now the campus librarians have decided the *should* have
a written policy to display near the terminals.
If any of you have copies of your institution's policy on Internet
use, would you please either e-mail them directly to me, or snail
mail, or fax at 810-340-6900. It would be much appreciated.
Mary
