Alternative to Image Map for LYNX users

If you find such a trick, PLEASE don't use it.  There are many reasons 
why someone would use a graphic browser with the images turned off, 
and the presence of normal text links on your page makes it useful to 
them.  Blind readers can usually cope with text links, but cannot see 
image maps at all.  You know about the Lynx users.  Folks with slow 
modems often turn off graphics, rendering your imagemap worthless.

Actually, given the load time of most image maps, I see NO advantage 
to them over text links, other than as a demonstration of web 
virtuosity.  I suppose if the subject is geographic ...
