If you are attending ACRL, I encourage you to attend the session on
Adaptive Technology and Accessible Web Design. The presentation includes
a showing of our new video, World Wide Access, on accessible Web design.
The video covers principles that will ensure that your web pages are
accessible to all, including people with disabilities using adaptive
technology, people who use text browsers, and people with lower end
technology. I will also be showing our materials at a poster session at
ALA. If you aren't attending either of these conferences but are
interested in learning more, drop me a line and I'll send you a flyer
about the many publications we offer, or check out our web site at:
http://weber.u.washington.edu/~doit The World Wide Access video, at 12
minutes, gives an excellent overview of the principles of accessible web
design. It is available for purchase through DO-IT.
