			BRANCH MANAGER


Full time Manager position available at a general purpose public 
library in Wentzville, MO.  Manager is responsible for the daily 
operations and staffing of the branch.  Other duties include heavy 
public service responsibilities providing reference services using 
traditional and electronic sources, materials selection, collection 
management including electronic information delivery resources, 
development of instructional materials and providing library 
instruction in a variety of formats, especially for electronic 
resources.  Work schedule includes day, evening and weekend hours.

Must have 3 years relevant experience and an accredited MLS; prefer 
additional graduate degree.  Prefer experience in bibliographic 
instruction, use of computers, online services, and the Internet.  
Excellent benefits and salary from $35,040 to $42,108 for MLS, and 
$39,120 to $47,028 for second masters.  The Library District is 
located just west of St. Louis in one of the state's fastest growing
