Indiana Online Users Group (IOLUG) Fall Meeting

Wireless technology is being used to communicate and transfer data 
between users without phone lines or network connections.  
Institutions such as Carnegie Mellon University, the George 
Washington University, and the State Library of Iowa recently 
installed wireless LANs.  Find out how this technology can benefit 
information professionals and their users.

AGENDA:

9 am     Registration and continental breakfast

9:30 am  Introductions and IOLUG business

10 am    Keynote presentation:  "Wireless Networking"
         Hear Michael Conway and George Bishop of Ovid Elsie Area
         Schools, Elsie, Michigan, give an overview of this new
         technology and discuss how they've used some of its 
         applications. 
         
11:30 am Lunch

1 pm     Concurrent sessions
         Session A:  "A vendor's perspective: what's coming?"
         A vendor representative addresses future developments.
         
         Session B:  "What's happening in Indiana?"  John Castleman,
         Director, Bluffton-Wells County Library, and Ross Riker,
         Director, Kendallville Public Library, discuss their 
         libraries' use of wireless technology.
       
2 pm     Concurrent sessions repeated

3:15 pm  Wrapup and evaluation
