          About the only way to get documents that look like word
          processed (or desktop published documents to appear on the
          Web is to use the PDF format (portable document format) that
          requires the Adobe distiller. the Adobe viewer is available
          for downloading with the document, so that the viewer can
          see the document exactly the way it looks pasted up (ie,
          desktop published with columns and so forth).  I know that
          QuarkXpress has an Xtension that can convert Quark files to
          PDFs and the Adobe PageMaker v.6 includes the capability as
          well.

          The limitations you are encountering are not because of the
          graphics packages necessarily, but more because of the
          limitation of html.
