Home ISDN Anyone?

Fellow sufferers--

The last few weeks using the Web have been excruciatingly slow--has this 
been anyone else's experience? Speculations I've heard from friends and 
colleagues are: schools out, online shopping, bad karma...

I am just getting geared up to do a massive amount of web searching/use 
for a project and am finally ready to think seriously about spending the 
money it takes to get ISDN in my home office. I have a superfast 
computer with all the extras...so I'm thinking it's the phone line that 
is the bottleneck. But I have visited sites where they are using ISDN 
(and sometimes T3) and THEIR access is slow from time to time too.

My biggest fear is that I will spend all this money & tear my system apart 
only to find that ISDN is not perceptably faster! Does anyone on this 
list have home ISDN? Will you share your experiences?

I will summarize any off-list comments for others.
