POSITION AVAILABLE: ELECTRONIC RESOURCES SPECIALIST
ARLINGTON HEIGHTS MEMORIAL LIBRARY

      Plans and coordinates the selection and evaluation of electronic and
      online resources. Coordinates the training of staff and public in the
      use of electronic resources. Responsible for providing in-person and
      telephone reference service to patrons. Provides direct patron service
      in the Online Room. Performs collection management responsibilities.
      Participates in the development and implementation of community
      information networks. Uses the library network and the 
      Internet to complete work responsibilities. In charge of
      Department in the absence of Department Manager

. Requirements:

      MLS/ALA-accredited library school; A minimum of five years previous
      library experience with increasing responsibilities in reference,
      electronic resources, including the Internet, and collection management
      required. Must be knowledgeable in the application of technology to
      reference services. Skill in word processing, spreadsheet, and database
      management software programs required. 

The salary range for this position is $37,106-$50,092 annually. Position 
requires working at least 1 Saturday and 1 Sunday a month and 1 evening 
per week.
