FYI: LOCIS via tn3270

I also greatly prefer to use LOCIS via tn3270.
Another service that accepts both kinds of connection is University of
Texas at Austin's UTCAT:
tn3270://public.dp.utexas.edu/
telnet://utcat.utexas.edu/
Here too I find tn3270 friendlier, though I use this site much less often
than LOCIS.
I wonder how much of such a preference is due to "feel" and how much due
to concrete advantages conferred by tn3270 emulation? Any thoughts?
