Linda,
I saw a message you posted on web4lib and remembered that my brother
Oliver had mentioned that you got a job in Oregon. Pretty cool. How do
you like Lewis & Clark? I hope you still remember who I am...we had
Bucklands class together...and don't think you're getting prank e-mail.
I just thought I'd be sociable and since I am at work today (Saturday!),
I thought I send a quick message to you and find out what's happened to a
fellow Fairfieldian (I don't really think of myself as one, but I thought
it sounded goofy enough to type) and fellow SLIS (what's it gonna be called
now!?) graduate.
Since I saw you last, I've gotten married (hence the name combo) and
moved to the middle of America! So far we are having a good time, but
there are times when we REALLY miss the Bay Area and even Berkeley
at times too.
The cool thing about my current job is that I get to get my hands on all
sorts of stuff...the joys of being under-staffed and in a relatively
small school (5000 students).
I am not sure how long we'll remain, my wife Zoey is looking into PhD
programs that might take us back towards the West Coast, but for now
living out in the boonies (forty acres, but no mule) has been a welcome
change from living two blocks from Telegraph. St. Louis isn't too far
away (1 1/2 hours), so whenever we have the need for a big city (happens
every now and then), we can be there in a relative flash.
It's time for me to head home. Drop a line if you feel like it.

Bob
