Dear Participants -

Some comments to the thread labeled Oregon...

Yes, there is more than a single librarian reading this list
(which is one reason I post this; also I know of at least
	three lurkers in this building).

Yes, there is at least another librarian who doesn't like being
called a techie (even if I am a closet one).

Yes, there are librarians working with the people in the
university computing center e.g. center people on library
committees, librarians on center committees (like on this
	campus).

Yes, there is another librarian (me) who thinks technology is
being oversold (but so is a lot of other stuff in this
	consumer, media-crazed society).

Yes, there are many librarians (do I have to name names?) who
would never go back to the good-old days.

Yes, it is true thre are techno-phobes at all levels in libraries
(but isn't that true of society at large?).

Yes, if you want a challenging (and from what I gather an under-
paid position), I hope you will apply. There is a lot of
exciting stuff happening in this library.

Yes, this is the same Oregon that went to the Rose Bowl last year
and is going to the Cotton Bowl this year.

Yes, it does rain in Oregon.

Yes, I've found this thread enlightening and even if you didn't
find this contribution advancing any part of the discussion,
please don't turn your flame up all the way, I have a tender
	ego.
