IE for Mac has been obsolete for over 4 years (June of 2003 I believe).
That's an eternity in web standards time -for example I recall it did
some very strange things[1] with CSS2 in 2003, I wouldn't expect this to
have improved in the time since.

The only way they could possibly prefer this browser is if they are
running OS 9 which is a whole other matter. I still wouldn't touch IE 5
with 3.05m pole under pain of death :-).
