Continuity and Innovation in Resource Sharing

Registration remains open for the May 5-7 offering of the OCLC Institute's
new seminar, "Continuity and Innovation in Resource Sharing."

Join faculty Mary E. Jackson, Senior Program Officer for Access Services,
Association of Research Libraries, and Martin Dillon, Executive Director,
OCLC Institute, for an intensive, interactive 2.5-day examination of the
trends, tools, standards, and practices shape resource sharing now and in
the future.
Mary Jackson will present the findings of the ARL ILL/DD Performance
Measures Study, which provides the background for plenary discussions of
theory and practice. Demonstrations and hands-on interaction with various
systems and tools provide an overview of technological applications. A
plenary exercise in critical analysis helps participants to focus on current
resource sharing models and their futures. Facilitated small-group
discussions and group presentations take up trend analysis, action planning,
and consensus building for desired futures.
Suitable for Library Directors, Heads of Resource Sharing/Interlibrary Loan,
ILL Librarians, Collection Development Librarians, Systems Librarians, and
anyone interested in maximizing knowledge access through resource sharing.
