Dear folks, I gave several presentations this fall to librarians in
Missouri, Kentucky and Virginia. These presentations are available online
at <http://www.bluehighways.com/> If nothing else, they are useful for
some very good hot links to high-quality resources.

The first two presentations were strictly on my "vision thing," and they
are called We Are Tomorrow's Librarians. The third presentation began with
a review of some of the very best librarian-built professional resource
websites (also reviewed in my October AL column) and then branched off into
the vision thing, primarily issues of intellectual freedom, personal and
community responsibility, just-do-it-ism, and alligators. Everything but
the alligators are up on the web page. (I really can't explain about the
alligators to anyone who wasn't at the VLA conference.)

Karen's Kitchen has been pretty stagnant til now, busy as I am with a "real
library" website as well as the rest of my pretty intense day gig. But I
hope these links add some pep. Bon appetit!
