Regarding gratuitous registry entries in Microsoft operating systems...
I use a little (Access?) utility freely distributed by Microsoft, basically
a wizard to clean up orphan registry entries and offer you help with some
manual tasks. It's called RegClean and it runs swell under NT3.51, YMMV. It
comes from:
	<http://www.microsoft.com/kb/softlib/mslfiles/REGCLN.EXE>
But you might want to go in the 'front door' and see if there's a newer
version or different one for Windows 95/Nt4.

Happy New Year!
