Widgets in WordPress

Unless you are its super admin, WordPress will sanitize scripts added to the WYSIWYG. Your administrator is probably right in locking this down, but it is certainly a pain - especially since library websites have unique needs compared to other departmental pages. You will need to convince your site administrator to open this up to you, but s/he probably won't (I wouldn't) :/.
Embedded media will work because WordPress uses oEmbeds for dozens of the most popular media sources (Youtube, vimeo, etc.) and locally hosted video files you upload will use MediaElements.js - which is bundled with WordPress core.
Sorry. That's not a very helpful response, but I figured it'd confirm your suspicions.

Did you get any answers? If not your widgets are actually forms so you want to be able to paste forms into the areas of your website.
Are you going to use the tab format that you have now?

Do you currently have a WordPress site to which you have added vendor search widgets such as those for EBSCO EDS, Gale, ProQuest, etc.? If so, what needs to be done in WordPress in order for the search widgets to work, i.e., enable JavaScript as a WP admin?
I'm currently recreating our library website within the confines of the campus WordPress CMS, so I am not a administrator of the site-I can create pages and add content, basically-but cannot change site settings. If I add widget code, even as source code, it does not function in the WordPress published page, although embedded video does, at least. I believe all the widgets we use on our current website are coded in JavaScript. I probably need to contact the WordPress administrator and ask for JavaScript to be enabled.
Thank you for any advice offered.
