Research Services Coordinators (three positions)

The George Washington University Libraries, Gelman Library

The George Washington University Libraries (GW Libraries) seeks
applications for three Research Services Coordinators to provide leadership
and management of research services librarians and their strategic
initiatives. The three coordinators facilitate the work of research
services librarian teams, manage the individuals that comprise the teams,
and contribute to planning, policy development, resource management, and
decision-making for the GW Libraries. Coordinators provide a strategic
perspective while supporting core services in the areas of collection
development, instruction, and reference. They report to an Associate
University Librarian for GW Libraries.

Required qualifications include an ALA-accredited MLS in library or
information science or equivalent; a minimum five years of experience as a
professional librarian or archivist in increasingly responsible positions;
expertise in collection development, reference, or instruction; familiarity
with current issues including trends in areas such as scholarly
communications, collection development, innovative approaches to
instruction in information fluency, data management and related services,
and virtual services; and a strong track record of collaboration and
sensitivity in working with individuals.
