I think the actual results of that LMGTFY demonstrate that this was not a good LMGTFY use-case.

There are a number of services that allow you to simply forward an email to upload the attachments to the cloud service of your choice; those cloud services generally offer online viewers. Examples:

  *   https://sendtodropbox.com
  *   http://www.sendtogdocs.com

IFTTT can also be very handy for this; there are tons of recipes out there like https://ifttt.com/recipes/67807-send-email-attachments-to-skydrive
