Please note that I am only looking for responses on the technical implementation of Fortiguard Web Filter's override functionality, not the efficacy of filtering, legality of filtering, opinions on filtering, etc. :) Thanks in advance!

Subject: FortiGuard Web Filtering Service & Allowing Unfiltered Access

Any libraries out there using FortiGuard Web Filtering and allow for unfiltered Internet access in certain cases? I am hoping to hear how you set it to remove the filtering completely as-needed, vs. just overriding/allowing specific sites access. Our state law requires that a provision be made to allow for "unfiltered" access (so no filtering at all) for bona fide research purposes.

If you are familiar with the above/use FortiGuard, could you contact me off-list?

Thanks,

Alison
