The Use of Social Media in the Library- Findings from the Twitter Party

YW, Aalia.
Two hours is about the same amount of time and effort that it took me, I
think. Thanks for the slide about editing functions. I'm not archiving any
tweet conversations at present, but if I need to again I will take you up
on your offer of help.

So far as I can determine, Storify won't allow me to search for
conversations, so I can't show you any of the ones I curated. I used their
search engine to search for #gamemooc and found quite a few individual
tweets, so it appears that somebody is still archiving their weekly
tweetchats.

These were part of Gamesmooc, an ongoing constructivist mooc about using
games in education. I believe 2013-2014 was its third year. It was founded
by several people who are members of a World of Warcraft guild that's
limited to educators.

The tweetchats take place on Wednesday nights during the school year and
are are usually very active. To avoid confusion with another twitter
account, they use the hashtag #gamemooc. I was a member for the first two
years, but I only storified a couple of the chats because I wanted to
organize them by conversation topic and that took so much time. Most of the
people who've done it just archive a linear transcript of the tweets, in
the order they were received.

Have a great day!
Jean
