Subject: [WEB4LIB] Using Access to Record Reference Statistics?

Hi,

My library still records reference statistics the old-fashioned way-with pen and paper. Obviously, it's time for us to move to an electronic system, which will simplify creating statistical reports.

We're looking at a couple of options. We've contacted several vendors for trials of subscription services. We're also wondering if we could simply create an Access database with a form on the frontend that we could all share via a network drive. Are there any libraries out there using Access to record reference transactions? If so, what has been your experience?

Thanks,

Joel Tonyan
