I've been very pleased with https://www.digitalocean.com/
Here is an interesting article about them:

Subject: [WEB4LIB] hosting options
We are considering changing our database hosting site from Host My Site to a less expensive alternative with more functionality. Below are what we have narrowed our choices down to.
1) DreamHost
2) JustHost
3) GoDaddy
4) iPage
Our top priorities are up time, multiple/unlimited databases, adequate support, and cost effectiveness. Does anyone have an experience or knowledge they could contribute to our decision?
Thank you in advance for your expertise!
