[lita-l] kaltura vs Vimeo

I would like to here more about this. This is the first time I have seen a differentiation of "true streaming", and I haven't found anything else on the topic.

It has always been my understanding that anything that shows up on a monitor can be captured, which is why fully DCMI protected things generally won't play on non-DCMI compliant monitors — monitors which typically use HDMI and preserve the encryption chain. Of course, these can be captured, as well. It is just a bit harder.

Thanks,

Cary

Thus Vimeo and youtube videos are quite easy to capture using services like Keepvid (keepvid.com/). Kaltura, on the other hand, provides true streaming. So if security is a big concern you should go with a true streaming service.
