No subject

If I receive an email with a link to a recognizable web site, said email
also containing a particular, specific subject line and body, then I am
more likely to click to open the link.

"Hi Bob, I thought you'd like this picture of penguins jumping in the ocean
off the Ross Ice Shelf"

...and if the sender and I share an interest in penguins or ocean
photography

...then I might choose to trust that John really did send this email.

But if his email address has been involved in sending spam, then I might
just go on to other items of interest in my life. I have several email
correspondents who are on my "worry list."

Read and assess carefully.
