Colleagues:
Please forgive any cross postings. You are invited to
participate in a study conducted by Robert Schroeder from Portland State
University and Christopher Hollister from the University at Buffalo. The
researchers hope to learn to what extent librarians know about and apply
critical theories to their practices of librarianship. If you know about
critical theories, or even if you know nothing about them, you are encouraged
to complete a short survey (link below). This survey is open to any academic
librarian, and it should take no longer than 10 minutes to complete.
Survey link (additional details below for those who wish
to read on):

There are no perceived risks to completing this survey.
You may not receive any direct benefit from taking part in this study, but the
authors hope to publish the survey results in an article about critical
theories and libraries. Your participation is voluntary, and no personal
information will be collected. You may also withdraw from this survey at any
time .
If you have questions or concerns about your
participation in this study, contact Robert Schroeder schroedr at pdx.edu. If you have concerns
about your rights as a research subject, please contact Research and Strategic
Partnerships, Market Center Building 6th floor, Portland State
University, (503) 725‑4288. Clicking on the link below and taking the survey
indicates that you have read and understand the above information and agree to
take part in this study.
Thank you.
