Batch conversion of TIFF to JPG and GIF files

Do any of these retain the dpi/resolution during the conversion?

PhotoFiltre can do that too and is freeware.

We have a project that will require us to batch convert a few thousand TIFF files to JPEG and GIF file formats.  Is there any way to do this as a batch job so we do not have to do each file individually?
