Donations through web pages

Our Friends foundation takes donations. We were using Donor Town Square - a very, very simple (and cheap) donation site. I managed the website for them, and their Treasurer would go pull the reports. All donation transactions were emailed to us, and money was deposited as a monthly settlement into a bank account they had set up.

They are now using eTapestry (etapestry.com, I believe), though it was just set up, so I don't know how happy they are with it. I do know it gave the donors more options for donating, and the Friends some more options for database building from the donations (DTS really didn't offer anything automatic in the way of database building).

Hope that helps. The Library itself, at present, doesn't take direct donations via the web.

Subject: [WEB4LIB] Donations through web pages

We are wondering how public libraries (or any libraries) setup and are managing receiving monetary donations through their web site. Is this through PayPal or through some other type of merchant account? If the latter, who are you using?
