standardized metadata vocabulary for anthropological research data?

Dear colleagues,

although I have been reading a lot I have not yet contributed to the list myself. 
So let me briefly say: Hi, I'm Kristin from Germany, working in a small international (English speaking) research institute and I'm so glad I live in a time where tools like this list exist!

And of course I also address you for a librarian question:
I hope to find an answer here for our virtual research environment group:
Does anyone know whether or not there is standardized metadata vocabulary for anthropological research data?
