Hi there,

TechSoup presented a webinar on wikis last year (well, in 2010) that included resources and tips from users: http://www.techsoupforlibraries.org/blog/watch-this-webinar-about-wikis

TechSoup also offers a donation of Wikispaces Plus Plan for $10 for public libraries and nonprofits. Info on that, here: http://home.techsoup.org/stock/pages/product.aspx?id=G-40611

I hope this is helpful!

I am a little on the fence with wiki's, even though I have used MediaWiki in the past. I have started to learn more towards content or document management systems. If you want to manage minimal resources I would even suggest Wordpress. You can easily install this software internally and tag/categorize your posts for future use.

We use PBwiki at http://www.pbworks.com/librarians . Their premium service is $99; but basic is still free for libraries, educators, etc.

Hoping to receive suggestions for free wiki software that could be used by our small public library (10 employees) to communicate with each other about internal matters, websites, training resources, etc.

Thanks and Happy New Year!
