Murphy Library at the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse is seeking a
dynamic, student-centered librarian to work in a fast-changing library
environment. Responsibilities include: develop and coordinate library-wide
efforts to provide a range of targeted research support and scholarly
programming for specific campus student populations; engage with students,
faculty and staff, and other academic support offices; lead the library’s
collaboration with the School of Education to further develop
curriculum-center resource; assist in reference services, information
literacy instruction, and collection development in assigned subjects;
participate in collegial governance and campus and professional activities.

 REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: MLS/MLIS degree from an ALA accredited program;
professional, post-MLS academic library experience developing and delivering
student-centered library programming; demonstrated ability to work
collegially and communicate effectively.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Experience working in a library curriculum center;
experience serving as a liaison with an academic department of education;
experience collaborating with faculty or other campus units to develop
student-centered academic programming; experience developing and delivering
targeted outreach, reference, or instruction services to a variety of
specific student populations.

SALARY AND RANK: Competitive salary for 9-month tenure track position at the
rank of Assistant Professor. An approximate 50% summer contract also is
available.
