Hi Jackie,
In our case, the distance learning unit does not report to the Dean of Libraries.
By the way, in case you aren't aware of it, there is an Off-Campus Library Services List (OFFCAMP at LISTSERV.UTK.EDU). This is a good list for library-related distance learning topics.
Regards,
Doris

Subject: [WEB4LIB] Distance Learning Departments in Libraries
Dear All,
I hope that this is not too off-topic. However, I thought that maybe
this list could help since libraries traditionally have embraced how
technology and media can be used to enhance instruction-both on and
off campus.
I have been asked to find out if any academic libraries include the
campus distance learning departments/units as part of their
organization. In other words, does the distance learning unit at your
institution report to the director/dean of libraries?
Thanks so much for your help!
Best wishes,
Jackie Radebaugh
