Subscriber count by country

I have been managing listservs for over twenty years and have been through many moves from one server to another. What has happened here is not out of control and is very typical for librarians. Considering the thousands of people on this list, there are very few mistakes and problems. The keyword here is patience and tolerance for minor problems or misunderstandings. Roy is doing a great job as owner of the list.

Roy,
I feel like this listserv is a bit out of hand at the moment. I used to get a useful weekly digest with posts and questions (I'm currently signed up for the digest now) and now it is a flurry of people not knowing how to unsubscribe and general "reply-alls" from people who may not actually be aware of how to use a listserv properly.
Is there some kind of ground-rules email that could be sent out again to remind people? I'm not trying to be a listserv hall monitor but I'm surprised about the amount of emails I'm getting that are basically people's conversations back and forth. Is there an IRC channel that people on the listserv who want to talk to each other conversationally can be directed to? Just a thought.
Thanks and I know this is a transition period. Just offering a few notes!
Best,
Annie DeVane
