Unsubscribe function does not seem to work ..... RE: [WEB4LIB] unsubscribe please

I tried this (see below) and it does NOT work.

I am still getting messages from the list.
I then went in to http://bit.ly/web4lib and had to create a listserv password, which I did.
Then, followed on-screen instructions and clicked option to leave the web4lib list.
Response was to wait for an e-mail and follow instructions in that e-mail.
That was about 5 or 10 minutes ago and I have still not received the promised e-mail (usually when promised an e-mail, it comes through right away). In the meantime, 5 or 6 list messages have come through.
I think people are getting frustrated (I know I am) because leaving the list seems needlessly complicated and also even when you follow instructions given they don't seem to work.
