Free-of-charge screencasting software

I've tried CamStudio, and the video I get from it is choppy.  Since that's
two people with good experiences, I will see what I can do to clean house a
bit and get CamStudio working its best on my computer.

(Still welcoming suggestions that list members have used and found
helpful...)
