Go here: <https://listserv.nd.edu/cgi-bin/wa?RESET-COOKIE>

And click on the “get a new LISTSERV password” link.

Hi all,

It's clear it can be set up by each one, and also that one can filter
e-mail based on e-mail addresses or other criteria, but as I was just
assuming that many of us are using the filters based on the subject as
it is the easiest option, so leaving it just as it was before would
not require any modification by anyone. That's why some of us
requested it.

Anyway Roy Tennant is already working on it, so thank you.

Hi all,

I believe that these are one of the settings that Roy mentioned we
would have to reset in our preferences.

Head over to https://listserv.nd.edu/cgi-bin/wa?SUBED1=WEB4LIB and
change Mail Header Style to the second choice (LISTSERV-style, with
list name in the subject). That setting has worked fine for me.

Cheers,

Ed

Thank you in advance.

Dear Roy Tennant:

I strongly request that the original identifier of this list, [Web4lib], be
reinstated. Now, postings are received without such identification; given
the volume of posts, lack of an identifier makes is impossible to easily
sort and file contributions.

Thank you.
As this list is run by Listserv software, you can set this for
yourself. As Roy said

When you first connect to http://listserv.nd.edu/ you will need to
create a password, but once having done that, and after confirming it,
you will be able to login and manage your account, including resetting
to get the list by digest if you wish.
One of the settings you can control is "Mail Header Style", and you
need to choose the option:

LISTSERV-style, with list name in subject [SUBJECTHDR]

Alternatively, you can set this and many other options, by sending an
email message from the address at which you are subscribed to the
list, to LISTSERV at LISTSERV.ND.EDU containing the line

SET WEB4LIB SUBJ

This, and much more, is explained at the "List-Help" addresses given
at the end of the headers of every message sent through the list,
including this one.
