Dear all

I am a reference librarian at The Presidency office, South Africa.
Presidency library is a special library caterer for government employees
who have special needs related to socio-political issues, legal, media,
African leaders, government. I feel honored to be in one of your
knowledge sharing groups.

Thank you for bringing that question Michael. In the next financial
year, implementing mobile library will be one of my 2012 projects. This
will enable my clients /users to access the catalogue, electronic
resources through their mobile phones since they are travelling a lot.

Can anyone who has already used that service share how to go about
implementing it, the experiences and challenges.

The Best, always

Precious

Greetings to all,

I was curious if anyone has had experience with their library providing
mobile apps, particularly web apps, for library patrons and would like
to share their experiences? What mobile apps does your library provide
and is there any response from the patrons (i.e. do they use the
services)? Is there any real demand for such services, and is it
worthwhile do you think to pursue providing such services? Please feel
free to e-mail me instead of posting to the list. Thanks in advance!
