The Hesburgh Libraries at the University of Notre Dame seeks a Web
Programmer/Developer.
The incumbent is primarily responsible for the design, development, implementation,
maintenance, and support of engaging, usable, and modern web sites and
applications for use by the Hesburgh Libraries and its patrons. The incumbent:
develops and maintains applications leveraging modular perl, MySQL, Oracle,
Ruby, php, XHTML, CSS, javascript and other tools for server-based database
applications. The incumbent will also perform some basic graphics development.
The incumbent participates in the development of a variety of special projects
throughout the Libraries. The incumbent will assist in the development of
integrations between existing open source and commercial systems. The incumbent
will assist in the organization and maintenance of the libraries' websites and
other web based tools.
Requires programming and scripting experience in one or more languages (PERL, php, Ruby,
or Java). Familiarity with RDBMS such as MySQL or Oracle. Interface development
for web base applications. CSS, XHTML, javascript. XML and XSLT.
Minimum Qualifications - Bachelor's Degree required.
