The award-winning Johnson County Library (KS) seeks an innovative, curious, customer-focused Programmer Analyst interested in working with Library staff to develop the next generation of library applications to enhance internal workflow, streamline processes, and delight patrons and staff.

The Programmer Analyst is responsible for coding programs to solve complex problems from detailed specifications, performing research and fact-finding to develop new or modify existing applications, and performing tasks associated with the implementation of programs, applications, databases and Web pages. Successful candidates will demonstrate effective communication, complex decision making and project management skills-including organization, coordination of duties, accomplishments of goals. Applications received by September 23 will receive first consideration.

Required: Experience with database servers, Web Server software, Programming Languages (both compiled and scripting languages), and project management skills.

Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related degree. Experience in libraries; expertise with C#, VB.Net, ASP.NET, PHP, JavaScript; familiarity with content management and blogging software such as Sharepoint, Drupal and WordPress.
