If you've never been to the Souteast Regional Educause conference, 2011 is a great time to start! The conference deals with all facets of educational technology and support--including libraries.  Note that next Wednesday, there's a proposal "support" session that will offer advice on developing a successful proposal.

Call for Proposals
Play an active part in a leading higher education IT conference by presenting at the Southeast Regional Conference, June 1–3, in Charlotte, North Carolina. 
This year’s conference, "Working Together to Manage Increased Complexity with Finite Resources," will look at concrete ways you can “do more with less” by leveraging the benefits of networking, professional development, and applied understandings of cloud computing and other emerging trends and technologies.
Don't miss the opportunity to contribute your thoughts to this conversation—submit a presentation proposal. 

The deadline for submissions is December 15, 2010.
Submitting a Proposal: "Support" Session
If you're thinking about submitting a session proposal or desire to incorporate more active learning strategies in your next presentation—join Sandy Schaeffer, 2011 SERC Program Committee Chair, and EDUCAUSE staff in a virtual "support" session...
DATE/TIME: Wednesday, November 3 at 2:00 p.m. ET.
CONTENT: Topics will include an overview and exploration of:
Conference theme and program tracks 
Session types and examples of interactive sessions 
Preparing your session objectives 
EDUCAUSE resources to help you craft an effective proposal 
SESSION INFO: No registration is required ... just remember to mark your calendar.

Audio from the presentation will be provided online through the conference room. There will be ample time to post questions and comments in the chat space. 
NOTE: Prior to the session, please run the Acrobat Connect Connection Test on the computer you plan to use for the session to ensure your configuration is compatible with the web conferencing system.

(Please note: A separate registration and fee are required if you are not registered for the regional event.)
