[Web4lib] putting photograph collection on the Web

We worked with our ILS vendor to make them available through the catalog, with links to the images on a photo server.

Hi,

We have a large collection of photographs which we wish to make available on the Web. We are seeking low cost software (a thousand dollars or less) that will allow us to catalogue or add metadata to the images, automatically generate thumbnails and make the images searchable on the Web.

Ideally, the metadata would be stored in a file such as an XML file that can be easily ported from one system to another rather than in a binary file that would tie it to that particular application.

Any advice would be much appreciated.
