[Web4lib] Using Google Apps for Educators

As I understand this it is a program where schools can use Google Apps, email and file storage. I am wondering if any of you are using this? My concern is that Google will scan emails for content so they can focus their advertising to the users. Couldn't this be a problem for confidential communication? What about privacy and the security of their documents?
